Lesson I

 Lesson I was a great week for us.  We used Raising Rock Stars and then added a few new things to our lessons together.  Letter "Ii" Number "4" and Sight Word: "can"
 We found these color coded Sight Word coloring sheets from www.1plus1plus1equals1.com
 The strong man craft from RRS lesson teaches the verse, "I can do all things through Christ who stregthens me."
 I is for Island {craft idea}
 I is for Igloo {craft idea}
 Our Raising Rock Stars flash cards & Easy Readers {Letter I}
 These number jar preschool printable actives were fun & helpful for him to practice counting {and he got to glue beads in the jars} and to practice writing the numbers.

Lesson H

AtlantaMama's Hh Craft Time ~
Raising Rock Stars Preschool Lesson H ~
{H is for Honor your Father and your Mother}
This RAISING ROCK STAR Lesson "Hh", "3" , "and" ~ focused on Hearts and Hands and the color RED.  We really enjoyed this lesson.  Although teaching "what does the EYES OF MY HEART mean?" was hillarious and funny.
 He will trace the letter of the lesson on each flash card and color them before we cut them apart.  {below} We really worked on Hexagon verses Octagon with our blocks to help us count the sides.
Other H Lesson AtlantaMama Examples ~
 we love our AquaDoodle {full size above; travel size below}
 You and your child can make an H with toys ~
 We made an H with shoes ~

Lesson T

Raising Rock Stars Lesson "Tt" "2" "the" and a focus on The 10 Commandments this week.  He enjoyed ALL of it.  He also did GREAT with the reading cards.  They were all about Turtles this week and the short sentences use the sight words we've learned so far {'see' / 'the'} so the child can READ the cards.
He did A-W-E-S-O-M-E and he was super proud of himself!
THIS WEEK WE ALSO USED ~
 Other Books Like This One ~
 OTHER QUICK PHONE PIC ~
{left }Great 'Melissa & Doug' Alphabet Train Puzzle with both Upper and Lower Case letters  {right} color by numbers book, a little hard for him at first, but very fun to color ~ find numbers ~ associate/assign a number to a color (Target Dollar Spot)
AUDIO / VISUAL ~ LEAP FROG DVD's ~
- Letter Factory {Highly Recommend for ages 3+}
- Word Factory {once they have the letter sounds down}
- Math Circus {it has been very helpful for us and is now at newly 4 yrs old}

MATH ~
We are just beginning math with numbers.  My son SharkMan just turned 4 in August.  Up to this point we have focused on shapes, basic counting out loud, and patterns.  AtlantaMama recommends Team UmiZoomi on NickJr for early math skills set to great music and vivid color.

Lesson L

~ LESSON L ~
 Raising Rock Star's lesson on the letter "Ll" the number "1" and the word "see" and the color yellow {photo above} was so much fun.  My son is going to love making the pop sickle stick props every week/every lesson.  He loves glue.  He really enjoyed learning a new song (I feel silly for not having thought to teach it to him already).  We held our candle stick craft and sang This Little Light Of Mine and he caught on fast.  Fun!!
 {above} He practices writing his upper case letters by tracing over them on this dry erase board.  (Target has them, but I found mine cheaper at Wal-Mart)  {below} He completed a few pages out of our "Think and Do" preK workbook & a pack of  Alphabet flash cards we like because they are COLORFUL.  (Target Dollar Spot)  Boys need strong, clear, colorful visuals!
